The Great Gold Coast Swim -Rd 1

Take the plunge at the Body Science Great Australian Swim Series. The Body Science Great Australian Swim Series involves four ocean swims along the east-coast of Australia in the Whitsundays, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney between September 2011 and January 2012.

Swim in some of Australia’s most recognised beaches and destinations, including Whitehaven beach, Morton Bay, Coolangatta and Farm Cove – right outside the Opera House.

Join in the festivities of the first swim at Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club, Part of the Coolangatta Gold on Sunday 25th September, with every participant receiving a race pack. The Body Science Great Australian Swim series offers enjoyment in every experience from a 2.2km swim for the experienced swimmer, a 750m course for those just starting out or feeling like a casual splash and a 300m kids event where entrants swim along-side some of open waters best swimmers.

Take the plunge and join the fun of the Body Science Great Australian Swim Series this summer.

The perfect backdrop to this year's first swim is the Coolangatta Gold - nothing demands more from an athlete. A 46km race comprising of a swim, surf-ski, board, paddle and run, its the longest race of its kind in the world. So, share the pain on Sunday 25th September at Kurrawa Beach.
